Following the 50th anniversary of Picasso's death, "Eterno" is a work of Spanish dance and flamenco starring the most iconic figures from his paintings: the horse, the bull, and the Picasso eye all appear in this tribute by choreographer and dancer Carlos Rodríguez and producer Amores Flamencos SLU, which aims to break with tradition and create a show that is fully innovative and conceptual.

With a combination of styles such as Spanish dance, flamenco, bolero, jota, and contemporary dance, the idea is to step into the painter's shoes and discover what he felt and what inspired his creations. The work is divided into two pieces: Manuel Urbina scores the first part, built around flamenco, bringing us closer to the artist's personal life. Then comes the Eterno section, which expresses the concepts and symbols that defined the painter, such as fate or death, through a more experimental act set to symphonic music by Lucas Vidal.

Names like Joaquín de Luz (director of the Compañía Nacional de Danza), La Lupi, Miguel Ángel Berna, Sara Calero, and Mayte Bajo were chosen by Carlos Rodríguez to bring us closer to Picasso's world and unravel one of his most famous quotes: “Art is a great lie that we use to tell the truth, and we destroy in order to create.”
