Technical Precision on Valencian Baroque

Project Summary Technical execution and deployment of a large-scale projection system for the Iglesia de los Santos Juanes. The challenge was to bring to life the church's complex architecture and sculptural richness, integrating digital art within a setting of exceptional heritage value.

The Technical Challenge

The core of this project wasn't just luminous power, but the extreme geographic precision of the content. Projecting onto detailed sculptures requires shadow management and pixel alignment that is almost surgical.

  • Multi-projection: Configuration and blending of 11 projectors to create a single, continuous, immersive image.
  • Geometric Mapping: Adapting the image to non-flat surfaces, respecting the sculptures' volume without distorting the artistic content.
  • Synchronization: Managing massive data streams to guarantee zero latency between the servers and the optics.

High-Level Collaboration

The key to success lay in the symbiosis between design and execution:

  • Artistic Vision: We worked hand in hand with Matra to ensure every pixel of the design was faithfully translated onto the stone.
  • Precision Tuning: The critical warping and blending phase in WatchOut was led by Miguel Ángel Yunta, ensuring perfect convergence in the most complex seam areas, such as the presbytery dome.

"The challenge wasn't just to light the church, but to understand its volume so that the technology would disappear and only the art would remain."

Results

A visual spectacle in which the architecture came alive, achieving total integration between 21st-century light and historical heritage. A deployment that proves that, with the right technical setup, no surface is too complex.
