The Turing Machine 

Set design and video-scenography for the production La máquina de Turing (The Turing Machine). Directed by Claudio Tolcachir and produced by PTC.

The text is steeped in frequent references to mathematics, solitude, silence… but also to a need to use creativity as the primary tool for change and genius.

In this project we sought to recreate that dynamism, asking how a machine might perceive reality, and giving the viewer freedom to interpret the space. It aims to show the difficulties of communication and decoding. To convey the fragmentation of memory and the labyrinths of abstract thought.

The set design recreates a less refined, cruder technology, in which a computer filled an entire room: the dawn of the digital revolution.
